The Loew's Kings Theatre opened in Flatbush in 1929 as a movie and live performance house at 1027 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn. It struggled as multiplexes drew audiences away and shut its doors in 1977. The building sat dark for decades. After a 95 million dollar restoration the 3,074 seat theater reopened in 2015 in its original glory and now hosts concerts and live performances.
